Now, the duo have featured in the media again with their selling of a football club officially confirmed.
Announcing the news on their official website, Salford City have stated that AIG have become the biggest shareholder of the club therefore taking the biggest control of the club.
Furthermore, the club have announced that AIG will also benefit from increased brand visibility on and off the field in coming seasons.
Commenting on the announcement, Neville and Beckham stated: “Peter Zaffino is an inspiring leader and we are incredibly grateful for his partnership and continued commitment to Salford City FC.
“What AIG is doing with this Club is deeply meaningful to the Salford City community.
This expanded relationship gives us the platform to keep raising standards and building something that has real value to our players, staff and to our loyal supporters.”
With this announcement now confirmed by Salford City, attention could turn towards fans to see how they react to the big announcement.
