Gary Neville’s growing media operation has landed another major deal, with the former Manchester United captain taking his football content to a new audience.
Neville has steadily built The Overlap into one of the biggest football-focused media brands in the UK since launching the platform.
The business has also expanded its Manchester United presence, particularly after bringing some of the biggest names in fan-led football content into its operation.
That includes Mark Goldbridge, whose huge following has made him one of the most recognisable Manchester United creators online.
Goldbridge has built an audience of 4.5 million subscribers.
Now, Neville’s The Overlap has agreed a deal with Disney+ that will see two of its biggest football shows available on the streaming platform, as they announced on X.
The agreement will bring 40 episodes of Stick To Football to Disney+ during the upcoming season.
The popular discussion show features Gary Neville alongside fellow former professionals Jamie Carragher, Jill Scott, Ian Wright and Roy Keane, with the group regularly debating the biggest stories in football.
United supporters will also have a new show to look forward to, with Disney+ set to host Stick To United, featuring former Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney alongside Goldbridge.
The two programmes will not disappear from YouTube, with both continuing to be available on the platform alongside their new Disney+ home.
The deal is another significant step for The Overlap, which has undergone major expansion this year.
In January, Global, the company behind LBC, acquired a majority stake in Neville’s media business.
The Overlap then strengthened its Manchester United-focused offering in April by acquiring Goldbridge’s The United Stand and That’s Football shows.
With Disney+ now joining the picture, Neville’s post-playing career continues to move well beyond traditional punditry and further into the rapidly expanding world of football media.
