Reports in Italy claim Gian Piero Gasperini has already demanded five new signings from Roma, including a centre-back and an attacking midfielder.
Gasperini was officially unveiled as the new Roma coach on June 17, when he was joined at a press conference by Roma Advisor Claudio Ranieri.
Sky Sport correspondent Paolo Assogna, from Trigoria, said on Wednesday afternoon that Gasp has already made his transfer priorities clear.
The ex-Atalanta coach has reportedly demanded a new centre-back, a central midfielder, a right wing-back and possibly a reinforcement on the left flank if Angelino leaves. Furthermore, he’ll require an attacking midfielder with a similar skillset to Ademola Lookman, as the player himself is too expensive for a transfer from Atalanta.
The new attacking midfielder would partner Lorenzo Pellegrini behind a sole striker in 2025-26.
As per Sky Sport, the priority for the right-wing-back position is Flamengo’s Wesley, who has also been linked with Juventus.
Corriere dello Sport reported on Tuesday that Gasp also wanted a new centre forward.
Roma are set to appoint Frederic Massara as their new sporting director after Florent Ghisolfi’s exit.
