Yann Bisseck and Hakan Calhanoglu have come in for particular criticism after Inter Milan’s Serie A loss to Udinese yesterday.

Today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, brand the pair as “the worst of the lot” for the Nerazzurri in the 1-2 defeat.

Yesterday evening Inter Milan experienced an early and major setback in their Serie A season.

Whereas everything had gone right for the Nerazzurri in their win against Torino on opening day, there were few positives from the team’s performance yesterday.

From errors and sloppy play at the back to a lack of physicality in midfield, Inter looked hapless in the first half after they’d gone ahead in the first half.

Then in the second half, the Nerazzurri chased the game. There was no lack of intensity, but little in the way of precision from Inter’s attack.

Bisseck & Calhanoglu “Worst Of The Lot” For Inter Vs Udinese

In the view of the Corriere dello Sport, there were two players who were particularly culpable for Inter’s loss yesterday.

And ironically, it was two players who coach Cristian Chivu put into the starting eleven.

Defender Yann Bisseck took the place of Benjamin Pavard on the right of Inter’s back three.

However, the German looked out of sorts. His positioning and decision-making were consistently off as Inter struggled to defender Udinese counterattacks.

Then, the Corriere argue, midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu was also among Inter’s worst performers.

The Turkish international came straight into Inter’s starting eleven after being suspended for their opener against Torino.

However, Calhanoglu offered little in possession, as he couldn’t play the ball through Udinese’s packed, physical midfield.
