Napoli have confirmed Stanislav Lobotka’s ankle injury, which means Billy Gilmour will likely start crucial games in the Serie A title race.
Lobotka sustained an ankle injury during the first half of Sunday’s Serie A game between Napoli and Genoa at the Stadio Maradona.

“Stanislav Lobotka underwent diagnostic tests at Pineta Grande Hospital on Tuesday, which revealed that he has sprained his right ankle,” the Partenopei said in an official statement on Tuesday.
“The player has already begun a course of therapy.”
As per Calciomercato.com, Lobotka will surely miss the next match against Parma and, most likely, the final game of the season and Cagliari as well.
This means Scotland international Gilmour will get the nod in the middle of the park in the most important games of the season.
The Partenopei remain the table leaders, but their advantage over Inter was reduced to just one point after the latest Serie A round.
