Inter Miami CF is already working on what will be the 2026 season, in which they will no longer have big names like Jordi Alba or Sergio Busquets.
However, the Herons will continue to build around the undisputed leader of their project, Lionel Messi. The club's priority is to surround the Argentine superstar with the best available talent in the transfer market.
Messi, 38, extended his contract with Inter Miami until 2028, so the Barcelona legend will remain a key piece both on the sporting side and in promotion for Miami Freedom Park, the club's new stadium, which is set to open in 2026.
That said, the club's front office is focused on the sporting side. Their aim is to provide head coach Javier Mascherano with a roster capable of contending for another MLS Cup and, for the first time, conquering the Concacaf Champions Cup.
Recently, Argentine midfielder Giovanni Lo Celso was linked to Inter Miami, and in recent hours an update has emerged on the matter.
According to journalists Alex Merida and Manu Colchon, the interest from the Florida club in Lo Celso is genuine.
Currently at LaLiga side Real Betis, the Argentine would be interested in going to a club where he can have more minutes. The same report indicates that although no formal offer has been made, the Spanish club would demand 5 million euros for its player (around $6 million).
This season, Lo Celso has made 19 appearances for Betis, registering two goals and two assists -- a solid return for Messi's international teammate with La Albiceleste.
The Argentine began his career at Rosario Central, quickly making the jump to Paris Saint-Germain in 2016. Since then, he has also played for clubs like Tottenham and Villarreal.
