Christian Kofane is a target for Chelsea this summer, with other top Premier League teams also chasing the striker.
Chelsea are in a negative spiral right now, with bad results causing bad headlines and doubts about the future of some key players and of their coach.
The only tonic to this sometimes are some pleasant transfer rumours – the hope that just buying some better players will solve everything. The latest name to come up is Christian Kofane of Bayer Leverkusen.
The young striker looks a rising star in the Bundesliga, with transfer site CaughtOffside claiming that the 19 year old is a target the Blues as well as Arsenal and a number of other Premier League stars.
A €70m asking price is pretty steep asking price for a player with fewer than 1000 senior minutes top division minutes to his name, but the fact he’s managed 9 G/A in that time is promising. In fact, according to his agent Eric Depolo, that’s a bargain:
“He is a €100 million player. With Kofane, Arsenal will have a top striker for the next 10 years.”
Well, he would say that, wouldn’t he…
If he keeps scoring this season, it seems like a move could come this summer.
Enzo Fernandez’s comments about Chelsea were made possible by the leadership vacuum at the club says former player John Obi Mikel.
Liam Delap is considering an international switch, according to former Man U defender John O’Shea.
