The transfer merry-go-round is already in full swing, as Genoa officially send Silvan Hefti to Montpellier, ready to replace him with Alessandro Zanoli from Napoli.
Montpellier announced the completion of the deal with Switzerland international Hefti and secured his signature this evening.
It is said to be a loan with option to buy worth a total of €2-3m including add-ons.
Genoa have already lined up the replacement, as Zanoli is expected to make the move from Napoli on loan.
The 23-year-old right-back made just six appearances for Napoli this season in all competitions and is a product of their youth academy.
It is a return to Marassi for Zanoli, who was on loan at Genoa’s rivals Sampdoria from January to June 2023.
Napoli can release Zanoli because they have agreed a transfer for Salernitana full-back Pasquale Mazzocchi at a cost of €3m plus bonuses for a contract to June 2027.
Napoli defender Leo Ostigard could also potentially end up at Genoa as a replacement for Tottenham and Napoli target Rade Dragusin.
