Hellas Verona 1-2 Inter Milan – Italy Center-Back & French Striker Underperform At Bentegodi

Alessandro Bastoni and Ange-Yoan Bonny performed below expectations in Inter Milan’s nerve-wracking 2-1 win over Hellas Verona.

According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, they were among Inter’s weakest performers at Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi.

Though it wasn’t one of the Nerazzurri’s most impressive displays under Cristian Chivu, the visitors took all three points yesterday.

Indeed, Martin Frese’s late own goal broke the tie, catapulting the San Siro heavyweights to their seventh win in ten league games this season.

Bastoni & Bonny Falter in Hellas Verona 1-2 Inter Milan

Bastoni’s form has been inconsistent at best this term. Indeed, the Italian star defender has had a fair share of ups and downs.

Yesterday, he struggled to deal with Giovane, who scored a sublime equalizer for Paolo Zanetti’s side.

The Brazilian forward made light work of one of Serie A’s most highly rated center-backs before finishing with aplomb.

Meanwhile, Ange-Yoan Bonny delivered arguably his least impressive performance in the Nerazzurri shirt.

Cut off from the rest of the pack, the French striker had no impact on the game before being taken off early in the second half.
