Herbalife buys Cristiano Ronaldo business venture

The impact of Cristiano Ronaldo continues to be felt both on and off the pitch, even during periods where his playing time is limited.

According to UK tech news, a company backed by Cristiano Ronaldo has been acquired in a major deal.

Bioniq, a London-based health startup supported by the former Manchester United forward, has been acquired by US wellness giant Herbalife.

The deal is valued at an initial $55 million, with the potential to rise to $150 million depending on performance-related targets over the next five years.

Founded in 2019, Bioniq focuses on personalised supplements and health optimisation using biomarker data, quickly gaining traction among elite athletes.

Ronaldo is not the only football figure involved in the company.

His former Manchester United teammate Diogo Dalot has also invested in the venture, having played a leadership role on the pitch as recently as captaining United in a late-2025 clash against Aston Villa.

Herbalife’s acquisition signals a broader shift towards data-driven health solutions, with the company aiming to expand its global reach through personalised nutrition platforms.

For Ronaldo, it represents yet another successful move away from football, reinforcing his status as one of the most commercially influential athletes in the world.
