Having been linked with Inter for months, now Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund is of interest to their city rivals AC Milan instead.
According to Sky Sport Italia transfer pundit Gianluca Di Marzio, the Rossoneri approached Manchester United over the last 24 hours to ask after the availability of Hojlund.
He had for quite a while been associated with the other side of San Siro, but Inter have long since abandoned this idea after securing Ange-Yoan Bonny from Parma instead and trusting youth team player Pio Esposito.
It is no secret that Milan are searching for a big, powerful centre-forward for new coach Max Allegri, and the Dane would fit the bill.
He has Serie A experience with Atalanta, even if he was only in Bergamo for one year before his €77.8m plus bonuses sale to Manchester United in 2023.
Hojlund has struggled for playing time at Old Trafford, last season scoring 10 goals with four assists in 52 competitive appearances for the club.
If Milan were to do the deal, it would have to be on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.
