Tottenham need to make amends straightaway and aim to finish high in the Premier League next season

Tottenham need to make the most of the Europa League success that the club endured in May. The Lilywhites are looking to kickstart a new era at N17 under Thomas Frank. And the fans are expecting the North London club to compete hard on all four fronts next season after ending last season on a massive high. There is no room for complacency and fans will hope that the club does not take the foot off the pedal.

Thomas Frank has not held back as well, and the newly appointed Spurs manager was quick to suggest that he wants to make Tottenham ‘serial winners’ during his time at N17. It will certainly not be easy to do that, and there will be a lot of ups and down during that time. But the Danish tactician is hopeful that the Lilywhites can become successful in the coming years.

The main priority for the ex-Brentford boss would be to get started in the Premier League on a positive note. The North London club has favourable fixtures in the start, and the Spurs manager must make full use of it and carve out some positive results from the get-go. This will surely set the tone at N17 for a good season ahead.

John Terry cannot see Tottenham do well next season

A lot is at stake at Tottenham as the club looks to carry on the Europa League momentum into next season. For Thomas Frank, one slight error in judgement will bring in scrutiny from the media and the fanbase. So, the Danish tactician has to tread lightly and take each game as it comes if the Lilywhites wants to endure a successful season.

However, John Terry does not believe that Spurs will do well and wants the club to endure a bad domestic campaign. Speaking on talkSPORT, Terry said,

“Hopefully not too well. I think he’s a really good manager, but the problem is I don’t think they’re in a good place based on where they finished last year. I look at Spurs and the foundations and the facilities are incredible, but I think it’s time for a change and someone to come in and give it a really good go.”

The Chelsea legend added,

“I’m happy for them to stay where they are, I hate Spurs and Spurs hate me, it’s really simple. It’s pure hate, I hope they stay where they are if I’m being honest.”

John Terry believes Thomas Frank is a good manager, but the Dane would find life tough at N17 as Tottenham are not in a good place after finishing 17th in the league table. The Chelsea legend points out that the foundations and the facilities are incredible at Spurs, but it will not be enough for the ex-Brentford boss to succeed at the club. Terry’s ‘hatred’ for the Lilywhites knows no bounds as the legendary player hopes the club finishes in the bottom half of the league table again.

This just proves that Thomas Frank has a massive task at hand, and the 51-year-old needs to kickstart a new era at N17 on a positive note to get the fans back on board. Daniel Levy has managed to back the Dane in the transfer market as of now, and the ex-Brentford boss must do everything he can to repay the faith in the upcoming season.
