Parma star Ange-Yoan Bonny could feature for Inter Milan at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, even though several hurdles remain in the way.
Per La Repubblica via FCInterNews, Inter’s top-place finish in Group E would allow the Frenchman to join the traveling squad.
Despite failing to complete Bonny’s signing before jetting off to the United States, Inter can still include him in their tournament squad.
Of course, he will not play in the group stage.
However, depending on Inter’s results in their section, Cristian Chivu could reunite with the 21-year-old in North America.
All teams will have a chance to modify their squad lists for the knockout stages.
Yet, there’s a catch.
With the transfer window kicking off on July 1, Inter cannot register Yoan-Ange Bonny in June.
Therefore, a runner-up finish would allow the French striker to join the team for the first knockout round.
Indeed, second-placed sides will return to action on July 1, while group winners take the field a day earlier.
If Inter finish top of their group, they would have to wait until the quarter-finals to see Bonny on the pitch.
