
The 2025 AFCON Final is between Senegal and Morocco, two teams that have remained unbeaten in the tournament after six matches each.
Both national teams were the favorites to win this tournament from the beginning, and both are arguably the strongest teams in Africa.
Senegal or Morocco will be crowned African champions ahead of the 2026 World Cup. Senegal and Morocco advanced to the knockout stages after finishing first in their respective groups.
Senegal topped Group D with seven points after three group stage matches, having won two and drawn one. Senegal defeated Sudan 3-1, defeated Mali 1-0, and defeated Egypt 1-0 to reach another AFCON Final after four years.
Morocco has shone as the host nation for the 2025 AFCON by topping Group A with seven points, with a record of two wins and one draw. In the knockout stages, Morocco defeated Tanzania 1-0, defeated Cameroon 2-0, and defeated Nigeria 4-2 on penalties to reach the final.
Senegal and Morocco haven't played each other since 2020, when they faced off in a friendly match. Morocco won that match, 3-1, with goals from Selim Amallah, Youssef En-Nesyri, and Youssef El Arabi.
The 2025 AFCON Final between Senegal and Morocco will kick off at 2 p.m. ET/ 11 a.m. PT in the United States.
The match will be available to watch in the United States and in other countries through select TV channels and streaming services.
