Inter Miami host Tigres UANL tonight in the Leagues Cup quarterfinals at Chase Stadium (Fort Lauderdale).

Kickoff is 8:00 p.m. ET/ 5:00 p.m. PT, and the match can be watched on FS1 or streamed via the FOX Sports app and MLS Season Pass.

Expected Lineups

Inter Miami should line up in 4–2–3–1: with Óscar Ustari in goal and a back four of Marcelo Weigandt, Gonzalo Luján, Maxi Falcón, and Jordi Alba. Sergio Busquets and Rodrigo De Paul will control the midfield, while Tadeo Allende, Lionel Messi, and Telasco Segovia could be the creative trio behind Luis Suárez.

Tigres should mirror that with a 4–4–2: with Nahuel Guzmán in goal and a defensive line of Javier Aquino, Rómulo, Juan Sánchez Purata, and Jesús Angulo. Fernando Gorriarán and Juan Brunetta will support Diego Lainez, Ángel Correa, and Ozziel Herrera as they feed Nicolás Ibáñez.
These lineups suggest both teams will be solid at the back and have attacking threat.

Injuries

Inter Miami have been monitoring Lionel Messi’s fitness while dealing with a recent muscle concern. La Pulga missed full training earlier in the week, and a decision on whether he plays will be made depending on how he feels prior to the kickoff.

Jordi Alba is available after suspension which is a boost for Miami.

Tigres have no injury problems with Ángel Correa fit enough to start and André-Pierre Gignac likely being able to contribute off the bench. The availability of these players will impact the tactics of both coaches.

Team News

Inter Miami come into the match on a high after winning two out of three last matches of their Leagues Cup group matches and 3–1 against LA Galaxy in their last outing.

Tigres on the other hand are looking to bounce back after a 1–3 loss to América in Liga MX, having just thrashed Puebla 7–0.

Head-to-head Stats

The two teams have only faced each other once before, with Tigres winning 2-1 at NRG Stadium during the 2024 Leagues Cup group stage.

Miami will use that as motivation to do well at home, and Tigres will aim to maintain a winning record.

Predictions

Inter Miami enter the quarterfinal as slight favorites at home, with win probabilities at around 44% for Miami, 32% for Tigres, and 26% for a draw.

The expectation is for a high-scoring match, with both teams showing a track record for scoring goals: “both teams to score” has landed in every Leagues Cup match so far.

Miami scored at least two goals in its last five Leagues Cup matches while Tigres also displayed their attacking prowess more recently with a heavy 7-0 win on Puebla in Liga MX.

The midfield battle will dictate the pace of the match, but Sergio Busquets and Rodrigo De Paul will be looking to control play and the match itself in the midfield against Tigres' Fernando Gorriarán and Juan Brunetta.

With the home field advantage and greater attacking options, expert predictions expect a close match with lots of scoring, and with a slight edge to Inter Miami, expected to win possibly 3–2 or 3–1.
