The stalemate between Inter Milan and Atalanta in talks for Ademola Lookman is likely to continue to hold until the start of next week.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Libero, via FCInter1908.

The explosive transfer saga with Atalanta and Ademola Lookman has come to define Inter’s summer.

Inter have made two offers for Lookman. And Atalanta have flatly rejected both of them.

Lookman himself reacted furiously to his club’s refusal to sell him to Inter.

The Nigerian international very publicly demanded a transfer to Atalanta last weekend. This after Atalanta had rejected a second offer from the Nerazzurri.

Then, Lookman took things a step further. The 27-year-old – who had already scrubbed all traces of Atalanta from his social media accounts – began no-showing training.

Inter & Atalanta Stalemate Over Lookman Likely To Hold Until Next Week

Right now, Inter and Atalanta are taking a fairly patient and cagey approach.

The Nerazzurri are waiting for a signal on the valuation for Lookman. Meanwhile, La Dea are waiting for another offer from Inter, or a bid from abroad.

It is only Lookman himself who is really losing patience.

However, Libero report, right now the stalemate is not going to end anytime soon.

The newspaper anticipate that there is unlikely to be a decisive development before this week.

On the contrary, Libero anticipate, the decisive next move may not come until the start of next week.
