Inter Milan chiefs have not lost faith in under-fire boss Cristian Chivu despite another disappointing result in Serie A.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri upper management and the 44-year-old remain on the same page.

Cristian Chivu painted his Serie A debut as Inter manager with flying colors.

Indeed, last season’s runners-up thrashed Torino 5-0 at the beginning of a new cycle under the Romanian coach.

However, back-to-back defeats at the hands of Udinese and Juventus have brought Chivu under scrutiny.

Inter Milan & Cristian Chivu on Same Page Despite Juventus Loss

Juventus overturned a late deficit to beat Inter 4-3 in Saturday’s Derby d’Italia.

In doing so, they condemned the Nerazzurri to their worst Serie A start in 14 years.

Furthermore, Chivu’s men now trail Napoli and the Bianconeri by six points.

Therefore, the former Parma boss will be under the microscope when Inter take on Ajax on Wednesday.

However, the San Siro giants remain firmly behind their decision to appoint him as Simone Inzaghi’s successor.
