Inter Milan will keep striker Francesco Pio Esposito despite a litany of offers coming in from Serie A and the Premier League.
This according to Italian outlet FCInterNews. They note that several clubs even made offers to sign the 20-year-old outright.
Francesco Pio Esposito has been hot property for some time now.
The young striker enjoyed an outstanding season on loan with Spezia last campaign. That season, his second in Serie B with the Ligurians, made it clear that he was ready to make the step up to top flight football.
And there has been no shortage of clubs keen to give Pio Esposito his big chance.
FCInterNews note that in Italy, all of Bologna, Napoli, Lazio, Fiorentina, Cagliari, Parma, Como, Sassuolo, Torino, Lazio, and Parma have registered an interest in Pio Esposito.
Then, the likes of Ajax, Basel, Nottingham Forest, and Leicester City are among the clubs abroad to target the 20-year-old.
As FCIN note, a lot of these offers were just to sign Pio Esposito on loan. Not all of them, however.
Both Napoli and Fiorentina have made attempts to sign the Inter striker outright. As have Nottinham Forest and Leicester City.
Inter are obviously aware of the interest. If they wanted to find a new club for Pio Esposito, it wouldn’t be hard.
However, that is not the Nerazzurri’s plan.
After some outstanding performances at the Club World Cup this summer, Inter have decided to bed the 20-year-old into their first team squad for the upcoming season.
