Inter Milan are set to miss out on signing Cristhian Mosquera, who is close to joining Arsenal this summer.
This via FCInterNews. The Gunners will pay a fee of around €20 million including all add-ons for the Spaniard.
Inter Milan had reportedly identified Valencia defender Cristhian Mosquera as a target this summer.
The Nerazzurri are ready to make some changes in defense. And reportedly, Yann Bisseck could be on his way out.
If the German were to leave, then Inter would certainly look to sign a replacement for him.
Reportedly, one of the players Inter have been tracking as a replacement for Bisseck is Valencia’s Cristhian Mosquera.
One of the main reasons why a deal for Mosquera seemed potentially within reach is the 20-year-old’s contract situation.
Mosquera’s deal at Valencia only runs until the end of next June.
Therefore, in the absence of a contract extension, Los Che would have to either sell Mosquera this summer to cash in while they can, or else lose him on a free transfer in twelve months’ time.
And Valencia have indeed cashed in this summer. However, they have not sold Mosquera to Inter.
Rather, it is Premier League giants Arsenal who have swooped to sign the 20-year-old.
The Londoners will pay Valencia a fee of around €15 million up front. Then, add-ons in the deal could take it to a total of around €20 million.
