Inter are continuing to monitor the market for a possible right-sided reinforcement as uncertainty surrounds Denzel Dumfries’ absence, and one name is attracting growing attention: Fiorentina wing-back Dodo.

According to Sport Mediaset, via FCInter1908, the Nerazzurri have not entirely ruled out making a decisive move during the January transfer window.

Despite earlier indications that the major investment on the flank would be postponed until the summer.

Meanwhile, the prevailing idea remains to rely on internal solutions for now.

However, circumstances could push Inter to act sooner.

Inter Monitor Fiorentina Wing-Back Dodo As Last 18 Months Of Contract Tick Down

One profile being watched closely is Dodo of Fiorentina.

The Brazilian is under contract until 2027 but has yet to reach an agreement on a renewal, a situation that has put several clubs on alert.

“Keep an eye on Dodo,” Sport Mediaset reports.

“The Brazilian has a contract expiring in 2027 but has not yet found an agreement to renew, which is why Inter are following him closely as a possible replacement for Dumfries.”

Inter’s interest remains exploratory rather than concrete at this stage.

Any January move would depend on financial conditions and Fiorentina’s stance.

As well as whether the club believe Dodo represents a clear upgrade rather than a stopgap.

For now, the situation is one to watch.

With Dumfries sidelined and the right flank still a work in progress, Inter are keeping their options open.

Indeed, Dodò’s contract status ensures his name stays firmly on the radar.
