Henrikh Mkhitaryan is mentoring Inter Milan summer signing Andy Diouf as the Frenchman trains intensively during international break.

Whilst a number of Nerazzurri players have been away on international duty, Cristian Chivu has been training intensively with the remainder.

The head coach, according to reports from TuttoSport via FcInterNews, has been putting in overtime with the players that he feels need it.

Diouf is one such player and has also been partnered up with Mkhitaryan.

Therefore, Chivu is hoping that the experienced midfielder can provide some guidance for the new signing.

Andy Diouf Plays Alongside Mkhitaryan In Inter Milan Friendly Win Over Padova

Inter Milan played a friendly match behind closed doors against Padova on the Friday.

Chivu used it as an additional opportunity to provide those left behind to train hard.

The Nerazzurri won 3-1, with goals from Diouf, Mkhitaryan and Carlos Augusto.

Therefore, Chivu’s experiment worked – utilising the duo together in a 3-4-2-1 formation.
