Out-of-favour Inter Milan striker Mehdi Taremi has turned down a move to Emirati side Al-Wasl, as he prefers to stay in Europe.
This according to Emirati outlet Emarat Al Youm, via FCInterNews.
Mehdi Taremi joined Inter Milan last summer. He arrived on a free transfer after his contract with Porto had expired.
However, things have just never quite worked out for Taremi at Inter.
The 32-year-old scored just three goals in his first season in a Nerazzurri shirt. It would be an understatement to say that this was below expectations.
Therefore, there have been persistent rumours that Taremi could be on his way out of the San Siro after just one season.
Last month, Sky Sport Italia reported that the Iranian will leave Inter.
There is little doubt that Inter want to offload Mehdi Taremi this summer.
However, it is far from clear where the 32-year-old will go if he is to leave the Nerazzurri.
There are some clubs in Europe reported to be interested. However, another possibility would be for Taremi to go to a club in the Middle East.
According to Emarat Al Youm, Emirati side Al-Wasl have made an offer to Taremi.
However, the outlet report, the Iranian international has turned the idea down. He wants to stay in Europe, even if it is not at Inter.
