Inter Milan standout duo Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram have faced plenty of criticism this season.

According to FCInter1908, much of that is unfounded, with stats showing the Thu-La partnership ranks among Europe’s best duos.

Marcus Thuram enjoyed a superb start to the season, racking up five goals and two assists in the opening five matches.

However, the French superstar slumped to a long-term injury in late September and has only recently returned to action.

Francesco Pio Esposito and Ange-Yoan Bonny thrived in his absence, providing Cristian Chivu with much-needed depth.

Inter Milan Aces Lautaro & Thuram Face Unfair Criticism

Unlike Thuram, Lautaro’s season had been off to a rather unenviable start, as he only found the net once in the first four league games.

Yet, El Toro has gone from strength to strength in the Champions League, bagging four goals in five European appearances.

Moreover, the 28-year-old has rediscovered his scoring instincts lately.

With eight goals, he is Serie A’s leading goalscorer.

Combined, Thuram and Lautaro have totaled 21 goal contributions this season, which makes them the sixth most prolific duo in Europe.
