Inter Milan target move for Manchester United midfielder in summer 2026

Manchester United’s summer business has the potential to be varied with players joining and leaving the club as the squad undergoes a large amount of change ahead of the start of next season.

Joshua Zirkzee could be one player who leaves the club this summer given the depth currently available in the striker position.

Both Benjamin Sesko and Matheus Cunha are consistently chosen over Zirkzee whilst Bryan Mbeumo has also seen in the forward position, potentially pushing the Dutchman towards the exit door.

Casemiro is another player linked with moves away with the Brazilian international expected to leave the club following the expiry of his contract at the end of this summer.

The former Real Madrid midfielder has been sent a proposal by Inter Miami, although financial factors are dependent on this deal being successful.

Casemiro has also been linked with a move to Italy with Juventus and AC Milan emerging as top candidates for a potential move.

Now, Inter Milan have been revealed as another candidate for a move and Brazilian outlet Tupi have reported that the club are closely monitoring Casemiro’s situation, evaluating the Brazilian as a market opportunity to strengthen their midfield.

Inter currently have a range of midfielders on their books but the addition of Casemiro would give the club a large range of experience that may be useful in their pursuit of success next season.

A move to Italy would also meet Casemiro’s desire to stay in Europe whilst also keeping him in the eyes of European football fans who have known him throughout his spells at FC Porto, Real Madrid, and Manchester United.

Focus will now switch to the midfielder to see which option and club he chooses in the aim of future success.
