Inter Milan Teammates Hail Defensive Star & Summer Signing After Victory In Rome

Inter Milan’s sixth straight victory was built on Ange-Yoan Bonny’s decisive goal – but just as crucial was the defensive wall behind him: Manuel Akanji delivered one of his most complete performances since joining the Nerazzurri, drawing praise from teammates Barella and Bastoni.

The Swiss defender helped Inter keep a clean sheet in a tense second half as Roma pushed for an equaliser.

Arriving in the final hours of the summer transfer window, the former Manchester City defender has quickly become a pillar in Cristian Chivu’s back line, showing personality, speed, and calmness.

Against Roma, his reading of the game, anticipation and timing in the tackle stood out throughout the 90 minutes.
