Inter Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu has been nothing short of outstanding at the start of the 2025/26 season.

According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, the Turkish star has defied a turbulent summer to regain a protagonist role at San Siro.

Hakan Calhanoglu emerged as a concrete target for Super Lig giants Fenerbahce and Galatasaray.

Furthermore, his agent reportedly held talks with both clubs, trying to broker his client’s move to Istanbul.

However, Inter’s substantial asking price deterred both teams from intensifying their interest in the 31-year-old.

Hakan Calhanoglu Back to His Best at Inter Milan

Calhanoglu’s strange summer behavior even saw him fall out of favor with Lautaro Martinez at one point.

Yet, the former AC Milan ace minded fences with El Toro. More importantly, he has returned to the fans’ good graces.

Indeed, Calhanoglu has been remarkable in the early stage of the season.

Since serving a one-game ban against Torino, he has been indispensable in midfield, racking up for consecutive Serie A starts.

Additionally, he netted a double in a dismal 4-3 away defeat to bitter rivals Juventus.
