Inter Milan talisman Marcus Thuram will make his long-awaited return to action when the Nerazzurri take on Kairat Almaty on Wednesday.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the Frenchman will be at Cristian Chivu’s disposal for Inter’s next Champions League game.
Marcus Thuram slumped to a hamstring injury in Inter’s 3-0 rout of Slavia Prague in late September.
Therefore, he has been on the sidelines for over a month. However, the 28-year-old is reportedly on the verge of full recovery.
Cristian Chivu refused to include Thuram in his matchday squad for Sunday’s away Serie A clash against Hellas Verona.
Indeed, it was a precautionary measure as the Romanian coach didn’t want to risk aggravating the Frenchman’s condition.
Meanwhile, Thuram will be available for Inter’s upcoming European showdown against the Champions League debutants.
Despite his timely return from injury, the former Borussia Monchengladbach star should start on the bench.
As such, either Francesco Pio Esposito or Ange-Yoan Bonny will start alongside Lautaro Martinez.
