Inter Milan are waiting to see whether or not midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu asks for a transfer to Galatasaray.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report that the Nerazzurri are still holding out for €35-40 million.

By now, it is certainly no secret that Galatasaray are interested in Inter Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu.

The transfer rumours regarding the Turkish champions’ interest in the 31-year-old have swirled for over a week.

However, so far, Galatasaray have not really made a concrete approach to Inter.

And at the same time, however, behind the scenes there is no doubt about the Istanbul giants’ intentions.

Inter Play The Waiting Game With Hakan Calhanoglu & Galatasaray

Inter are aware that Galatasaray have sounded out a move with Calhanoglu and his camp.

However, as of yet, the former AC Milan and Bayer Leverkusen midfielder has not directly spoken with the Nerazzurri about the matter.

Therefore, Inter are waiting to see whether or not Calhanoglu comes to them with Galatasaray’s interest.

Inter would hold out for a fee of €35-40 million to sell the Turkish international. At least to start.

But for now, the Nerazzurri have not received anything serious.

Therefore, at the moment, Inter’s stance is to wait and see. They are increasingly annoyed by the persistent rumours – but will not rush anything.

Everything comes down to whether Hakan Calhanoglu asks Inter for a move.
