Multiple outlets are reporting that Fenerbahce have reached an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain over a transfer for Marco Asensio, which means that he will not be joining Inter, despite interest from the Nerazzurri over the last two windows.

Asensio set to join Fenerbahce, not Inter

According to reports from Yağız Sabuncuoğlu and Calciomercato.com, Fenerbahce have an agreement in place with PSG to sign the former Real Madrid talent, who is now into the final year of his contract in Paris.

Updates claim that Asensio was offered a contract worth €9m per season in wages, but that the relevant parties remain locked in negotiations. The player has since been showed potential homes in Istanbul.

Asensio’s increasingly likely departure for Fenerbahce means that he will not be joining Inter this summer.

The Spaniard had been offered to the Nerazzurri in the winter transfer window, prior to his joining Aston Villa on loan for the second half of the 2024-25 campaign. Reports earlier in July claimed, again, that Inter were among the sides interested in signing the 29-year-old.
