Sassuolo have completed a deal to sign Ipswich Town goalkeeper Arijanet Muric, reports from Italy claim, with the Kosovar undergoing medical tests earlier today.
According to what has been reported by SkySport , the former Burnley man arrived in Italy this afternoon and immediately completed his medical ahead of a move to Sassuolo.
Muric signed for Ipswich last summer when the English club were promoted to the Premier League and the 26-year-old played 18 times in the league.
Prior to his time at Ipswich, Muric had played for a whole host of other clubs, including Burnley, Adana Demirspor and Willem II. The Switzerland-born goalkeeper was in part a product of the Manchester City youth system, where he made 5 appearances as a youngster in the Carabao Cup.
The goalkeeper joins Sassuolo as they prepare for their return to Italy’s top flight. Last season, head coach Fabio Grosso led the Neroverdi to a first-place finish in Serie B and now the side are strengthening their squad ahead of the new campaign.
