Al Nassr will play their first Saudi Pro League game of the season, and their opening league match is against Al-Taawoun away from home. The match will be played at the King Abdullah Sport City Stadium.

Al Nassr head into the game after losing the Saudi Super Cup Final against Al Ahli. The game finished 2-2, but they lost 5-3 in the penalty shootout.

Al Nassr's star player, Cristiano Ronaldo, played the whole match and scored in the final against Al Ahli, but it wasn't enough. Ronaldo once again could not lead Al Nassr to a major trophy and will aim high for this new Saudi Pro League season.

This will be the first match for Jorge Jesus as Al Nassr manager in the Saudi Pro League, but will he start Ronaldo in the first match against Al-Taawoun?

Cristiano Ronaldo Expected to Start in Al Nassr vs Al Taawoun

Not only is Ronaldo expected to play in the first league match of this season, but he is expected to start the match against Al-Taawoun. Ronaldo has trained with the rest of the team this week after the Saudi Super Cup Final last weekend.

Ronaldo took to social media to invite Al Nassr fans to continue their support ahead of a new league campaign. This will be Ronaldo's fourth season with Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League.

Cristiano Ronaldo: "Tomorrow, the league begins. We’ve trained. We’re ready. But we can’t do it alone... we need you. We’ll be there giving it everything we’ve got. Fighting for the badge, for the team, for every one of you. Will you be there with us all the way? Let’s make it unforgettable."

Cristiano Ronaldo Reached a Historic Milestone with Al Nassr

Despite the loss in the Saudi Super Cup last week, Ronaldo's goal was historic as he reached 100 goals with Al Nassr. The Portuguese striker became the only player to score 100 goals with four different clubs.

Ronaldo is aiming towards 1000 career goals and is currently at 939 goals. Ronaldo will look to continue his goal tally against Al-Taawoun.

Al-Taawoun was a difficult challenge for Al Nassr last season, as Ronaldo's team was unable to beat them in the league. Al-Taawoun finished 8th in the Saudi Pro League last season, but drew 1-1 against Al Nassr twice in the league last season.
