FC Barcelona will once again play in La Liga when they take on Girona at home. Barcelona will be without several first-team players for the match against Girona and for the upcoming games across all competitions.

The Barcelona team has been hit with many key injuries so far this season, and Hansi Flick has not been able to have a fully fit squad.

This has become a challenge for Barcelon, and in their previous match in La Liga, they suffered a 4-1 loss to Sevilla away from home.

One of the key players who were missing in the match against Sevilla was Lamine Yamal. Yamal has missed a couple of games for Barcelona over the past month, having only played one match in La Liga, which was against Real Sociedad in late September.

Yamal has only played four La Liga matches this season, but he will play his fifth against Girona as Flick confirmed it in a press conference.

Flick was asked about Yamal and Fermin Lopez's fitness ahead of the Girona game, since both recently recovered from injury, and said, "Lamine Yamal and Fermín López will be returning tomorrow, but they can't play 90 minutes."

FC Barcelona's Expected Lineup vs Girona

The Barcelona team will look very different once again due to the number of injuries in the squad. Wojciech Szczesny is expected to start in goal since Joan Garcia remains injured.

The back four could include Gerard Martin, Pau Cubarsi, Eric Garcia, and Jules Kounde. The double pivot is expected to be Frenkie De Jong and Marc Casado, with Pedri potentially playing in a more attacking role.

Lamine Yamal and Fermin Lopez are expected to play on the wings, with Marcus Rashford playing as the sole striker for the team.

Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, Ferran Torres, Gavi, Dani Olmo, Joan Garcia, and Marc Andre Ter Stegen are ruled out for the match against Girona.
