Italian Identity – Inter Milan Have Turned Down Offers From Abroad For Three Italy Superstars

Inter Milan have reportedly fended off foreign advances for Italian stars Alessandro Bastoni, Nicolo Barella, and Davide Frattesi.

According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, the San Siro giants are keen to preserve their ‘Italian identity.’

New boss Cristian Chivu intends to maintain the core of Italian talent.

Therefore, Inter have refused to negotiate the sales of three Italian superstars during the summer transfer window.

Indeed, that’s part of the club’s strategy to build a team around a strong domestic nucleus.

Inter Milan Turned Down Offers for Bastoni, Barella & Frattesi

Inter have rejected Chelsea’s significant €50 million bid for Alessandro Bastoni.

Widely considered among Europe’s best defenders, Bastoni remains one of the leaders of this Nerazzurri team.

Then, there’s Nicolo Barella, arguably one of the finest midfielders in the world, let alone Serie A.

However, Al-Hilal had tried to sign the diminutive star, only for Inter to rebuff Simone Inzaghi’s approach.

Finally, they have knocked back Newcastle United’s offer for Davide Frattesi.

Despite being close to leaving San Siro in January, the ex-Sassuolo ace is now heading toward a contract renewal.
