Italian transfer reporter Fabiana Della Vale claims that Inter Milan have “tested the waters” to sign Dusan Vlahovic on a free transfer.
She also anticipated, via FCInter1908, that the Nerazzurri could more easily accommodate the Serb’s wages than AC Milan.
Striker Dusan Vlahovic remains a Juventus player at the start of this season.
The 25-year-old was linked with a move away all summer. This considering that his contract with the Bianconeri runs out at the end of next June.
There are currently no indications that Juventus will extend Vlahovic’s contract. On the contrary, in fact, the contract talks have been at loggerheads for months.
Therefore, the issue of Vlahovic’s future remains up in the air.
Italian transfer reporter Fabiana Della Valle claimed that “Vlahovic is more determined than ever to stay until his contract expires.”
The former Fiorentina striker “doesn’t want to leave until June,” she claimed.
“From what I understand he has no intention, and neither does Juventus, to either extend his contract, or spread it over a couple years.”
Della Valle added that “he intends to leave next June.”
“To get a €10 million signing bonus. And then earn €10 million net per season.”
The transfer reporter anticipated that Vlahovic wants to move “to the Premier League, or otherwise to a top club.”
However, Della Valle anticipated that “Vlahovic could surprise us all and stay in Italy next summer, I think.”
“From what I understand, in recent months there have been contacts not just with AC Milan, who wanted to sign him right away. But also with Inter, about joining the Nerazzurri when his contract expires.”
She stated that “Marotta has been in contract with the player and his entourage to test the waters and see if there could be a deal for next June.”
“We know that Marotta is the king of free transfers,” said Della Valle.
“Obviously we’ll have to see if they can work out his wages. But it seems like Inter have less of an issue with high wages than Milan – especially with free transfers.”
“Inter could make changes in attack next summer,” the transfer reporter stated. “They could sell Thuram, Lautaro could leave.”
“In any event, Marotta is taking precautions at the moment.”
Della Valle claims that the Inter President “made a phone call” to Vlahovic’s representatives.
“And he’s secured, for now, the player’s approval. He said that he’s available to negotiation – but pushed back any talks until next June.”
