Multiple sources claim Alessandro Buongiorno is open to joining Milan from Torino, but Tuttosport insists the Granata’s asking price for their star defender is circa €40m.
Buongiorno had dinner with his agent, Beppe Riso, on Tuesday morning, reportedly trying to work out a strategy for a January transfer to Milan.
The product of Torino Academy snubbed a move to Atalanta last summer but would be happy to move to the Stadio Meazza this month, confirms Sky Sport.
However, according to Wednesday’s printed edition of Tuttosport newspaper, the main obstacle in the negotiation is Torino’s asking price which is between €35m and €40m.
Milan are aiming to lower Torino’s demands by including Lorenzo Colombo in the deal. The Rossoneri value the 21-year-old at €15m, too much for the Granata who want to keep Buongiorno at least until the end of the season.
As things stand, Milan seem unwilling to match Torino’s asking price without including Colombo in the deal, while the Granata President Urbano Cairo has recently claimed that he will keep Buongiorno at the club in January.
