Bologna confirm their coach, Vincenzo Italiano, has signed a new contract until 2027.

Bologna confirmed a contract extension for their coach, Italiano, on Thursday afternoon.

“Bologna Fc 1909 is pleased to announce that Vincenzo Italiano has agreed to extend his contract until 30 June 2027,” the Rossoblu said in a statement.

Bologna director Claudio Fenici explained: “We are really happy to prolong our relationship with Vincenzo Italiano. As we previously stated on a number of occasions, this has always been our intention, and we are ready to take on the challenges of next season together.”

Vincenzo Italiano added: “I am happy to continue on this journey: we have a lot of exciting competitions to take part in and objectives still to achieve, together. See you in July, more ready than ever!”

Italiano was appointed by Bologna last summer, signing a contract until 2026.

The 47-year-old was linked with Milan, but reached an agreement to extend his stay at the Dall’Ara after beating the Rossoneri in the Coppa Italia Final last week.

It was Bologna’s first major trophy in 51 years, which also qualified them for the 2025-26 Europa League.
