Nicolo Barella looked at his best in Inter Milan’s 2-0 friendly win over Olympiacos.
This is the view in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They further argue that Piotr Zielinski and Luis Henrique looked off the pace.
Inter Milan beat Olympiacos in a friendly match yesterday evening.
This was the Nerazzurri’s final friendly match before the start of the Serie A season. They take on Torino in their league opener on Monday, August 25th.
Inter beat Greek giants Olympiacos 2-0 in their final friendly match of the season.
Wingback Federico Dimarco scored the Nerazzurri’s opener in the friendly win. Subsequently, striker Marcus Thuram wrapped up the win with a goal in the second half.
Meanwhile, at the other end of the pitch Inter managed to keep a clean sheet.
This will be a good sign for coach Cristian Chivu, appointed at the start of the summer.
In the view of the Gazzetta dello Sport, one player who really shone for Inter yesterday was midfielder Nicolo Barella.
The Italian international looked fresh on a physical level.
Then, Barella was also playing at a very high technical level.
On the other hand, the Gazzetta argue, Piotr Zielinski looked much more sluggish when he came on in midfield.
Then, the newspaper suggest that summer signing Luis Henrique also disappointed with his performances. The Brazilian’s attempts at crosses were inaccurate.
