Defender Alessandro Bastoni will get a rest from the start in Inter Milan’s Serie A match against Lazio this weekend.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi is ready to reinstate a number of regular starters into the team against Lazio this Sunday.

The Nerazzurri coach had rotated his squad heavily last weekend against Torino. A number of key players dropped to the bench after their exertions against Barcelona.

However, now the team has had a full week of rest.

Therefore, Inzaghi will start players like Nicolo Barella, Marcus Thuram, and Francesco Acerbi once again.

One notable name who will not start on Sunday, however, is Alessandro Bastoni.

The Italian international was one of the few regular starters who was in the lineup against Torino last weekend.

That has often been the case this season. Bastoni has been Inter’s most-used outfield player this campaign.

However, this time around, Bastoni will get the chance to catch his breath.

The Gazzetta report that Carlos Augusto will start on the left of Inter’s back three against Lazio. And Federico Dimarco will start at left-wingback.

The Gazzetta’s complete predicted starting eleven for Sunday’s match is as follows:

Inter Milan (3-5-2): Sommer; Bisseck, Acerbi, Carlos Augusto; Dumfries, Barella, Calhanoglu, Zielinski, Dimarco; Thuram, Taremi.
