At just 20 years and 91 days old, Francesco Pio Esposito etched his name into the Inter Milan history books on Saturday evening.

The striker struck his first Serie A goal in the 2-0 win away to Cagliari.

It was a moment that capped months of hard work since joining the senior squad under Cristian Chivu.

Esposito’s strike makes him the fourth youngest Italian to score for Inter in Serie A this century, as noted by FCInterNews.

Pio Esposito Joins Brother Sebastiano Amid Inter Milan Youngest Scorers

Only his older brother Sebastiano Esposito , Mario Balotelli and Marco Faraoni managed it at a younger age.

Sebastiano found the net at just 17 years and 172 days.

Meanwhile, Balotelli followed at 17 years and 238 days and Faraoni at 20 years and 74 days.

For Pio, the goal marks the end of a long wait, having narrowly missed promotion with Spezia last season.

Now in the Nerazzurri shirt, his landmark goal may be just the first of many.
