Striker Francesco Pio Esposito is already impressing in preseason for Inter Milan, raising expectations even further for next season.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan have made Francesco Pio Esposito a part of their first team plans this season.
The teenage striker had spent the last two seasons on loan with Spezia. Last campaign, he scored nineteen goals for the Ligurian club.
Then, Pio Esposito also starred for Inter at the Club World Cup earlier this summer.
Of course, Pio Esposito is hardly going to come into Inter’s team as a first-choice starter right away.
And particularly if Inter are to complete a deal for Ademola Lookman, then the 19-year-old will have to compete with Ange-Yoan Bonny for playing time.
But the Corriere dello Sport report that Pio Esposito has looked more than up to the task in preseason.
The Italy Under-21 international has picked up where he left off at the Club World Cup.
There are no doubts whatsoever about Pio Esposito’s physicality. And he has shown the technical polish to link up and provide a point of reference in attack.
