West Ham United are headed to the Championship after coming 18th this season, losing a tightly fought relegation battle with Tottenham Hotspur.
As such, the club are in need of making significant player sales to make up for the drop in league, with players like Jarrod Bowen and Matheus Fernandes drawing interest from other Premier League sides.
The pair have both now been linked with Manchester United, as The Red Devils are looking to sign three midfielders, a left-back and a left-winger this summer.
While Fernandes is viewed as a potential long-term replacement for Casemiro, Bowen is admired for his talents on the wing.
However, after West Ham’s final league game this season, the 29-year-old spoke out about his future.
Explaining the situation with West Ham being relegated and him remaining at the club, Jarrod Bowen explained: “I’m under contract here. I’ve been here six and a half years.”
He continued: “I’ve had some really high moments and this is a low moment that will outweigh everything.
“There’s going to be rumours, there’s going to be talk. Ultimately, what I see is getting this club back in the Premier League because that is where it deserves to be.”
As such, the winger has seemingly cast aside any rumours of him leaving the London-based club, determined to help the Hammers bounce back up next season.
West Ham are joined by Wolverhampton Wanderers and Burnley in being relegated, with the Turf Moor side having only just returned to the Premier League under Scott Parker.
Now, West Ham will be preparing for a very different season as they hope to return to the top flight, with Jarrod Bowen eager for the challenge.
