Jose Mourinho close to signing Michael Olise

Jose Mourinho is leading from the front once again as he pursues more success in the footballing world.

This time, however, it’s with Real Madrid. The Portuguese manager had managed Madrid between 2010 and 2013 before moving to Chelsea.

After more than ten years away from the Spanish giants, though, ‘The Special One’ returned, making the switch from Benfica to take over from Alvaro Arbeloa at the helm.

Since joining, the 63-year-old has made his intentions in the transfer market clear with him signing Marc Cucurella, Ibrahima Konaté, Bernardo Silva, and Denzel Dumfries to a squad already full of world class players.

Mourinho has also been linked with a move for Manchester United left-winger Marcus Rashford who, last season, was with Barcelona on a loan basis.

Now, as the manager continues to make his place in the transfer market felt, French outlet L’Equipe have stated that Bayern Munich attacker Michael Olise has decided to leave the German club to join Real Madrid.

Whilst the deal does not yet appear done, these latest development suggest that the possibility of a move is opening up further.

The French international made 57 appearances for Bayern last season, scoring 25 goals and providing 28 assists.

He also won the Bundesliga, Super Cup, and DFB Pokal with Munich in the previous campaign, cementing his place in Bayern folklore alongside legends such as Thomas Muller and Manuel Neuer.

A move to Real Madrid for the former Crystal Palace man may now represent the next step in his ever-developing career.

Madrid currently have a large range of attacking talent, including Kylian Mbappe, Brahim Diaz, Vinicius Junior, and Jude Bellingham.

Michael Olise may now form the next piece of Mourinho’s puzzle as the manager aims to lead Real Madrid to a 37th LaLiga crown in the upcoming season.
