Joshua Zirkzee agrees to join Serie A giants

Joshua Zirkzee arrived at Manchester United with a growing reputation after impressing in Serie A, where his performances for Bologna established him as one of Europe’s most technically gifted young forwards.

However, despite flashes of quality at Old Trafford, the Dutchman has struggled to consistently produce the level that convinced the Reds to bring him to England.

Now, with Michael Carrick reshaping his squad and competition for attacking places increasing, the striker’s future is once again becoming a talking point.

A return to Italy is no longer just speculation.

Joshua Zirkzee nears Manchester United exit

According to La Gazetta dello Sport, Juventus have received approval from Zirkzee after recent discussions, with the 25-year-old understood to be attracted by the possibility of returning to Serie A.

The Bianconeri are exploring a loan move for the Manchester United striker as they continue planning life after Dusan Vlahovic’s departure.

Rather than choosing between attacking targets, Juventus are reportedly hoping to complete a double deal by keeping Randal Kolo Muani while also bringing Zirkzee to Turin.

The Italian giants have already contacted Manchester United to understand the conditions of a potential agreement.

United are believed to value the Dutch international at between €35 million and €40 million, with Juventus now assessing whether a deal can be structured.

This is far from the first time Joshua Zirkzee has attracted serious interest from Italy.

Juventus’ new football chief Ricky Massara previously attempted to sign him while serving as Roma’s sporting director.

During last winter’s transfer window, Massara spent significant time in discussions with the striker’s representatives as Roma tried to convince Manchester United to sanction a move.

Those negotiations ultimately failed after United refused to let him leave.

Juventus initially viewed Zirkzee as an alternative option to Kolo Muani, but recent conversations suggest they are now pushing with greater ambition.

Back in April, Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna was reported to have held extensive talks with Zirkzee’s representatives regarding a possible move to Naples.

Although his spell at Old Trafford has yet to fully ignite, the qualities that made him one of Serie A’s standout forwards have not gone unnoticed.

During his final season with Bologna, Zirkzee produced 12 goals and 7 assists in 37 appearances, earning regular recognition with the Netherlands national team.

Since arriving at Manchester United, he has registered 8 goals and 3 assists in 56 appearances across all competitions.
