Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has been linked with a move away from the club during the summer transfer window.

Tottenham finished close to the relegation zone this past season, and they could decide to change managers in the coming weeks. The Australian could be shown the door, and it remains to be seen what the club decides.

Tottenham players like Ange Postecoglou

Meanwhile, journalist Tom Barclay has revealed that Tottenham players want him to stay at the club and they like him. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham decide to stay with him, given his popularity among the players.

He said on YouTube: “It’s how they talk about Ange and the social media posts as well, when you put it all together and the stuff I’m hearing behind the scenes, there’s definitely a feeling the players want him to stay.

“They like him a lot. That’s always been the case, they haven’t downed tools. It would be better if Ange stayed from that perspective.”

A change this summer would be ideal

The Australian has had substantial backing in the transfer market, but he has failed to get the best out of his players. Keeping him at the club for another season could prove to be a huge risk. Tottenham are one of the biggest clubs in the country, and they need to fight for trophies regularly and compete in the Champions League.

They cannot afford another disastrous Premier League campaign like the last one. Changing managers this summer could prove to be a wise decision.

Meanwhile, Postecoglou helped Tottenham in the UEFA Europa League this past season, despite their struggles in the Premier League. They have not won a major trophy for quite some time, and it remains to be seen whether they decide to give the Australian another opportunity after winning the European Cup.
