Critics slammed Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez as “impact-less” in the Nerazzurri’s 4-3 defeat to Juventus.
In ratings published by the Corriere dello Sport, Lautaro was awarded a 5/10.
The newspaper slammed his performance, writing “intercontinental travel takes its toll.
“He never made an impact. Juve’s defence gave him no respite.”
The Argentina star endured a tough evening and Ange-Yoan Bonny replaced him in the 64th minute.
Bonny showed more signs of life in his brief cameo, revealing clearly that Lautaro needs to recover fitness.
Lautaro Martinez only returned to Milan from international duty on Wednesday night.
The talented striker scored for Argentina but he did not play every minute and enjoyed some rest.
However, this clearly was not enough.
The forward had just two training sessions with his teammates before the match.
Therefore, it is clear that Lautaro needs more work.
The Corriere also criticised Yann Sommer, awarding the goalkeeper a 4/10 for his dismal performance against the Bianconeri.
The Corriere rated talismanic midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu as Inter’s best performer, giving him a 7.5/10 for his brace.
