La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that VfB Stuttgart’s Jeff Chabot is a new target for Juventus as the Bianconeri are ready to listen to offers for Lloyd Kelly.
Juventus have set their sights on VfB Stuttgart centre-back Jeff Chabot, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The report claims that Marseille’s Leonardo Balerdi remains the Old Lady’s primary option in defence, but the Argentine is a difficult target to get as the French club considers him unsellable.
On the other hand, a deal for Chabot, a former Serie A defender for Sampdoria and Spezia, could be more feasible as he joined Stuttgart a year ago for just €4m.
His salary is also in line with Juventus’ budget, but the Old Lady doesn’t want to spend more than €15m to sign him.
Chabot already impressed Juventus this past October, when his Stuttgart side beat the Bianconeri in the Champions League in Turin.
In the meantime, the Serie A giants have changed directors and coach, but they remain interested in the 27-year-old who scored three goals in 45 appearances across all competitions last season.
Juventus are looking for a starting centre-back to complete Igor Tudor’s three-man defence given that the Serie A giants are waiting for offers for ex-Newcastle defender Kelly.
