Juventus Turn to Woltemade as Zirkzee Move Faces Uncertainty

Juventus have reportedly submitted a new proposal to Manchester United for Joshua Zirkzee, structured as a paid loan with an option to buy for €30m. At the same time, the club have contacted Newcastle United to ask about the availability of Nick Woltemade as an alternative should the Zirkzee move stall.

The proposal and enquiry are attributed to Sky Sport Italia. Zirkzee remains Juventus’ first choice, with Woltemade considered a Plan B. Juventus have asked Newcastle about Woltemade’s availability.

Why Juventus Are Back in the Striker Market

Juventus are seeking at least one new forward following the serious injury to Kenan Yildiz, while the club are also reported to be in advanced talks to loan Jonathan David to Atlético Madrid with an option to buy. A David departure would create room for a forward better suited to Luciano Spalletti’s approach.

Zirkzee has reportedly been keen on a Serie A return for months, and multiple sources cited in the report suggest he has stalled on interest from Fiorentina in the hope that Juventus would eventually move for him. The proposed loan-with-option structure is a paid loan with an option to buy for €30m.

Fiorentina’s Problem, Napoli’s Prior Interest

Fiorentina also want Zirkzee, and his reported preference for Juventus complicates their plans. The Viola will not release Moise Kean to Como until a replacement is secured, tying their business to the outcome of the Zirkzee pursuit.

Woltemade, meanwhile, had already been linked with Napoli in recent days, with reports suggesting the club had made an approach. Juventus’ interest in the Newcastle forward comes as they continue to prioritise Zirkzee.
