Kaua Elias scouted by Manchester United

Manchester United’s transfer window is beginning to approach its end with just a few weeks left before the window slams shut at the beginning of September.

Even with this, however, the club are continuing to pursue transfer targets that can improve the squad for the new season.

Lewis Hall is amongst these, with Manchester United ready to pay Newcastle United’s asking price according to reports.

CentreDevils exclusively broke the news that United had made contact for Hall with the deal now looking to be making progress.

Jorge Salinas, on the other hand, has also been looked at although Racing Santander appear reluctant to let the 19-year-old leave this summer following their promotion to LaLiga.

Away from defensive reinforcements, though, attacking names have also been linked with a move to Manchester United.

Kaua Elias is amongst these with CentreDevils exclusively revealing that Manchester United had sent scouts to watch the striker earlier this year.

SunSport are now reporting that further scouting has taken place with the outlet also stating that Arsenal scouts were also present.

The outlet state this scouting took place on Monday against Kudrivka, where Elias scored a hat-trick in a 5-1 win with evaluators from Manchester United giving glowing reviews of the forward.

United and Arsenal are not the only two clubs interested, however, with FC Porto and AC Milan also keen according to the publication.

SunSport have also stated that scouts from Manchester United were tasked with evaluating Kaua Elias after intelligence was gathered on his recent performances.

The report sent back to Old Trafford after the game on Monday highlighted Elias’ potential, if he was given the correct environment and managerial backing, according to the Sun.

The 20-year-old, who has previously had appearances for Brazil at youth level, made 36 appearances for Shakhtar Donetsk, scoring eleven goals and providing five assists.

With scouting now completed, Arsenal and Manchester United could be locked in a battle to earn the striker’s signature over the coming weeks.
