Kayserispor are one of the teams around Europe striving for survival this season.

The outfit, who currently sit 16th in the Turkish Süper Lig, have picked up just 15 points so far this season with just two wins coming in this period.

Furthermore, following a 13th placed finish in the Turkish top division last season, arguably, survival and progression would be the aim to help the side improve.

Therefore, for Kayserispor, the January transfer window may be the perfect opportunity to improve their squad and, subsequently, their chances of survival.

One position the side may choose to recruit in is the attacking positions, considering their top scorer this season (German Onugkha) has scored just six times so far this season.

Meanwhile, with just two clean sheets so far this campaign, the outfit could look towards defensive reinforcements to improve.

Now, the side have put in a bid for a Manchester United winger as the side look to strengthen in that position.

According to Manchester Evening News, Kayserispor have submitted a new bid for United winger Sam Mather ahead of the January window.

Mather had previously been in talks with the side over a move to Turkiye, but the deal was not completed before the transfer deadline.

As well as this, a move to UAE Pro League outfit Al Wadha broke down, meaning that Sam Mather had to stay at the club.

But, with the winger pushing for a January move recently and with United considering the bid according to MEN, Mather could quite possibly be on his way out of Manchester United.

Furthermore, with Kayserispor pushing for a quick move and already negotiating terms with the winger according to MEN, the possibility of a move can be said to be high.

Now, fans may look for updates about the deal.
