According to the latest reports, Moise Kean will be kept in hospital overnight for observation, but initial tests on the Fiorentina striker are reassuring.
The forward collapsed on the pitch during today’s 1-0 defeat to Verona at the Stadio Bentegodi.
He had sustained a nasty knock to the head during an accidental three-way collision with two Verona players and had several minutes of treatment on the touchline to patch up a cut to the eyebrow.
With a visibly swollen left eye, Kean got back on the pitch and a few minutes later crumpled to the ground barely conscious.
He was stretchered off with a neck brace and taken to the local hospital for tests in an ambulance.
Fiorentina released a statement confirming that the Italy international is undergoing tests after he was diagnosed with head trauma.
According to Sky Sport Italia and Radio Bruno, the results of initial tests are reassuring, but as per protocol Kean will be kept in overnight for observation.
He should be released from hospital on Monday morning for a return to Florence.
